Why Freeze Dried?
40 Below Freeze Dried Snacks opened to Sault Ste. Marie shoppers in 2022 with the mission of introducing our community to the incredible power of freeze drying your favourite snacks!

As our friends, family and customers would throw out wild suggestions we would experiment, and the result is a very wide and constantly evolving range of freeze dried snacks for all to enjoy!
When we first had the idea for this endeavour, we decided early on we wanted to remain local. Freeze Dried snacks can lose their fun shape and freshness when packaged and shipped and we only want our customers to taste the BEST! So we made the choice to offer a local shopping experience.

Since we first started operating, we’ve developed a loyal fan base that LOVE freeze dried snacks just as much as we do!
